Ser un mentor

What makes NavigateUni a unique education consultancy in the market is the exceptionally high calibre of young profesionals and students that decide to give back to the community and provide a differentiated type of mentoring.

NavigateUni Mentors receive competitive compensation on an hourly basis.

These are our primary requirements for you to become one of our Mentors:

There are several ways to demonstrate academic success but we typically will want to see our Mentors having studied at a prestigious university, obtained excellent grades and actively participated in several extra-curriculars during their student life.

None of our Mentors are devoted full-time to mentoring. They need to be accomplishing great things in their career or ventures. However, we will expect Mentors to comfortably dedicate up to 10 hours per week (often less) on mentoring. We understand juggling a busy career and NavigateUni will be challenging, but we clearly expect our Mentors to be high achievers and that definitely includes time management skills!

Being accomplished academically or professionally is not enough. You need to be able to explain difficult concepts and experiences to younger and more inexperienced people. You need to be able to instil motivation and discipline in our students. And you need to be comfortably giving unbiased, true and honest feedback in the most constructive way.

Even though we pay out Mentors a very competitive hourly rate, our desire is for Mentors to be naturally motivated to mentor students and compensation should not be the primary motivating factor.

This will be discussed in further stages of the selection process.
